From Sonali Kolhatkar, KPFK
I urge the KPFA LSB to please consider not cutting KPFA’s union staff positions. As a paid programmer at KPFK in Los Angeles, I understand first-hand the importance of qualified, professional, and politically astute on-air programmers and behind-the-scenes producers to a public radio station.
It’s crucial that at this time of economic uncertainty that KPFA be as strong as ever to bring important analysis and programming to listeners. If these staff are cut, it will be to the detriment of all of Pacifica, not just KPFA.
Sincerely and with respect,
Host/Executive Producer, Uprising
